Addition further diversifies the QHIN’s board leadership, reflecting its growing membership and commitment to interoperability advancement
BOSTON (September 15, 2026) – CommonWell Health Alliance, a nonprofit member-driven alliance and Qualified Health Information Network® (QHIN™), today announced that Tony Ambrozie, Senior Vice President and Chief Digital, Technology and Information Officer for CVS Health, Pharmacy & Consumer Wellness and Health100, has been added to its board of directors. Ambrozie is the latest addition to the board and represents CommonWell’s dedication to ensuring its leadership is aligned to its growing member base.
Since joining CVS Health in 2023, Ambrozie has led the development and innovation of digital consumer and pharmacy team experiences while overseeing the product and engineering teams. He also spearheaded the launch and development of Health100’s consumer engagement platform, which gives consumers an always-on personal AI health assistant. Health100 supports Individual Access Services (IAS) under the U.S. Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement™ (TEFCA®), which allows patients to use third-party health apps to retrieve their complete medical records across different healthcare networks without needing separate logins for every portal.
“The future of healthcare relies on interoperability to achieve high quality, accurate, and timely care,” said Ambrozie. “CommonWell helps us reach what we believe in: addressing consumers’ health and wellness needs when and where they need us.”
CommonWell members today range from health systems to nonprofits and government agencies to health IT vendors, payers, providers, and much more. In the last year, its board has added new members that reflect the membership’s growing diversity. In early 2026, it added Christopher Stanley, Senior Vice President, Digital Products of Labcorp, to its board. Labcorp is a global leader of innovative and comprehensive laboratory services that helps doctors, hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, researchers, and patients. CommonWell end users exchange more than 1.2 billion documents across over 175,000 provider practices and care locations each month. CommonWell is one of just 11 Designated QHINs™ across the country. CommonWell also pledged in the inaugural class of CMS-Aligned Networks and continues to support its development and positive influence on interoperability.
“Interoperability’s successful adoption relies on a strong ecosystem of dedicated and trusted pharmacies, payers, providers, and care delivery leaders to succeed,” said Paul L Wilder, Executive Director of CommonWell Health Alliance. “Tony and his team are essential to achieving our vision to make health data accessible, helping to improve care coordination and health outcomes.”
Before CVS Health, Ambrozie led digital transformation at Baptist Health South Florida and was a Senior Vice President of technology at Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, where he helped create the consumer experiences and modernized the tech ecosystem at Disneyland Paris and Disneyland California. At American Express, he developed the next generation digital platform for members. Ambrozie published his first book, Doing Digital – Lessons Learned on How to Do and Be Digital, in February 2024. His second book, Letters to Leaders, will be coming out later in 2026.
