MEDITECH Among the First Members in the Alliance to deploy the Argonaut Project’s FHIR specifications to customers
MEDITECH announced it is set to offer CommonWell interoperability services in early 2018. The deployment will enable healthcare organizations to exchange patient information seamlessly for improved patient care and quality outcomes.
Advancing interoperability initiatives has always been a cornerstone of MEDITECH’s healthcare IT vision. We are proud to partner with CommonWell Health Alliance in providing MEDITECH customers access to the CommonWell network, enabling faster and simpler exchange of protected health data across the care continuum.
MEDITECH is working closely with Alliance members to ensure its services will seamlessly weave into providers’ and administrators’ workflows. By leveraging its work with the Argonaut Project, MEDITECH will be among the first members in the Alliance to deploy the Argonaut Project’s FHIR specifications to customers.
As a Contributor Member of the Alliance, MEDITECH has the opportunity to help steer the future direction of CommonWell and provide its clients access to services that go beyond one EHR system, one healthcare organization, and one community; enabling nationwide connectivity and interoperability.
With connectivity across CommonWell and through the planned CommonWell connection with Carequality implementers, MEDITECH customers will be able to take advantage of expansive exchange avenues; avenues which greatly reduce the pressure and cost burdens to rip and replace systems which are providing benefit.
Today, CommonWell services are live at more than 5,000 provider sites in all 50 states, D.C. and Puerto Rico. Together, MEDITECH and vendors across the industry are breaking down barriers that have stood in the way of efficient data exchange and achieving cross-vendor interoperability.
