It is the first morning of the HIMSS14 exhibition and in CommonWell fashion, we are unleashing BIG NEWS.

You may have seen our news reported yesterday of all our service launch clients going live AND expanding our services to additional locations, including national health system, Tenet Healthcare. But there’s more – we are now pleased to report that CVS Caremark and MEDHOST have joined as contributing members to the CommonWell Health Alliance. We couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome and start working with the nation’s largest pharmacy chain and a tenured enterprise IT supplier with an established customer base.

Our work together starts today. Read the full releases on our website or come by our booth #1389 or MEDHOST’s booth nearby at #747 to learn more.

Speaking of our booth, which I understand is just one of the more than 1,200 exhibits on the HIMSS show floor (or at least that is the number I see when I search the digital map), we hope you can make a stop in to hear the progress CommonWell has made since announcing our initiative last HIMSS.

I mentioned a couple of the milestones just now, but we will have additional detail to share with you in our booth by way of technical demonstrations of our Identity Management, Record Locator and Trusted Data Access services as well as panel discussions with our clients that are live on these services. Randy Williams (director of information technology at Maria Parham), AnnMargaret McCraw (chief executive officer at Midlands Orthopaedics) and Dr. Tripp Jennings (system vice president, medical informatics officer at Palmetto Health) will join us at 3 pm ET today and 2 pm ET tomorrow to discuss their utilization of the CommonWell services.

In case you missed it, Randy Williams was quoted in our release yesterday saying, “Within 24 hours of our ‘go live’, our team enrolled almost 200 patients in CommonWell’s services and we continue to enroll additional patients.” We hope you can stop by to hear these stories and more in the CommonWell booth.

Not to mention, Janet Marchibroda, director of the Health Innovation Initiative at the Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC) and the moderator for our CommonWell announcement last HIMSS, will be back with the CommonWell team to moderate today’s client discussion at 3 pm ET. And tomorrow, our very own Arien Malec will join us to moderate the 2 pm ET client panel discussion.

I hope you are sharing in our excitement for the many accomplishments to date and the many more to come, along with our new members, CVS Caremark and MEDHOST on board.

Hope you have a great HIMSS conference and if you are looking for the CommonWell booth or a CommonWell member booth, just be on the lookout for a glowing blue pole. You can’t miss us – we are now a growing team of nine.

Regards,

Jeremy
