Merriam-Webster defines interoperability as the: ability of a system to work with or use the parts or equipment of another system.

It’s clear that interoperability is important to the healthcare system, but it means something different to everyone – to providers and payers and patients. Ultimately, though, it delivers good things to every stakeholder.

So what does interoperability mean to those of us working on the CommonWell mission? What kind of difference can it make? Meet a few of my fellow alliance members and hear how they define interoperability in this video.

Then, tell us – What Does Interoperability Mean to You?

Footage was taken at our first CommonWell Member Summit at Cerner headquarters in Kansas City.
