Aaron Miri, Council Chairman & Baptist Health System Representative

Aaron Miri, MBA, FCHIME, FHIMSS, CHCIO, is the SVP and Chief Digital & Information Officer for Baptist Health System located in Jacksonville, Florida. Aaron brings more than 20 years of healthcare and technology experience driving growth and innovation, leading provider and commercial healthcare delivery enterprises, and providing thought leadership and close collaboration with state and federal representatives.

In 2020, The United Stated Senate congressionally re-appointed Aaron for a second term to the Health and Human Services, federal Health IT Advisory Committee (HITAC), established under the 21st Century Cures Act. Furthermore, he was elevated to the role of Co-Chairman of the HITAC.

He serves as a board member with CommonWell Health Alliance and The Sequoia Project, acts as a global CIO board advisor for Dell Technologies and Council of Information Technology Executives for athenahealth, and is an industry advisor for numerous healthcare startups and venture capital corporations.

William Walders, Council Vice-Chair & Health First Representative

William Walders is CIO and Senior Vice President of Operations Support at Health First in Rockledge, Fla.

William has more than 20 years of experience in various IT roles, along with a 22-year career in the U.S. Navy. Currently, he oversees all health system integrated corporate initiatives at Health First, focused on delivering the most effective and cost beneficial enterprise-wide operations.

Prior to joining Health First in 2019, William served as the CTO of Federal Health for VMware and spent 22 years in the military health system. In these roles, he helped federal healthcare executives navigate the historic federal digital healthcare transformation.

William received his bachelor’s in Information Systems from the University of Maryland and his master’s in Healthcare and Business Administration from the University of Florida.

Samit Desai, Ascension Representative

Prior to his role at Ascension served as the Chief Medical Officer at Audacious Inquiry, a health-tech and policy firm in the health information exchange space, as well as a senior adviser to CRISP, a regional health information organization.

Samit is double boarded in Emergency Medicine and Clinical Informatics. He attended Drexel University School of Medicine and subsequently trained at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. Later, he completed an ONC-sponsored Applied Clinical Informatics program at the Division of Health Sciences Informatics at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.

Arthur Lauretano, Circle Health Representative

Arthur M. Lauretano, M.D., M.S., F.A.C.S. is the Chief Medical Officer for Circle Health, based in Lowell, Mass., and the Medical Director of the Lowell General Hospital Multidisciplinary Head and Neck Cancer Center.

He is a board-certified otolaryngologist/head and neck surgeon, practicing at Massachusetts Ear, Nose, and Throat Associates and operating primarily at Lowell General Hospital. He teaches Otolaryngology at Boston University School of Medicine and Harvard Medical School.

Arthur graduated Boston University’s Six-Year Medical Program, received a MS in Health Informatics and Management from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and is board-certified in Clinical Informatics from the American Board of Preventive Medicine. He is the author of Do the Right Thing: A Surgeon’s Approach to Life.

Harold Lawrence, Community Hospital-Fairfax Representative

Harold Lawrence, BSPharm, serves as Pharmacy Director and ACO Champion at Community Hospital- Fairfax in Fairfax, Mo. In his current role, Harold leads his organization’s efforts to meet Promoting Interoperability standards, allowing him to work directly with all clinical end-users of its Electronic Health Record.

Harold has spent more than three decades as a pharmacist serving in various hospital leadership roles, including 20 years in community pharmacy. He is passionate about rural healthcare and transformation of the healthcare delivery system.

Harold has a BSPharm from University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Pharmacy. He serves on CPSI’s Client Advisory Council, AmerisourceBergen’s Clinical Advisory Council and his local board of education, for which he has served for more than 21 years.

Kristen McGehee, Covenant Care Representative

Kristen H. McGehee, MSW, currently serves as Associate Vice President of Innovation for Covenant Care, a post-acute healthcare organization serving Florida and Alabama with innovative services including Home Health Care, Palliative Care, Hospice Care, Memory Care and Personal Care services.

In her role, Kristen implements and monitors strategic initiatives for the organization. During Kristen’s 15-year tenure with Covenant Care, she also served as Associate Vice President of Hospice Services, Senior Director of Transformation and Business Systems and Director of Education.

Kristen holds a master’s degree in Social Work from Baylor University in Waco, Texas.  Her undergraduate degree, also in Social Work, was from Mississippi College in Clinton, Mississippi.  A Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Kristen also holds “LEAN” Bronze Certification.  In 2014, she was the recipient of Covenant Care’s inaugural President’s Award.

Alyssa Moy, Option Care Health Representative

Alyssa Moy, MBA, PMP is Vice President of Product Strategy & Management for Option Care Health, a national provider of home and alternate site infusion services. Alyssa brings 20 years of experience in various IT Healthcare roles from Walgreens (Deerfield, Ill.) and Option Care Health (Bannockburn, Ill.).

In her current role, Alyssa is responsible for driving long-term strategy and management of health system integration products and solutions, focused on unlocking value through technology in alignment with corporate strategy. Alyssa also leads Data Management and Contract System Management responsibilities at Option Care Health.

Alyssa earned a bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering and a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Phoenix and has held a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI since 2012. Alyssa has also provided pro bono IT strategy services for United Way and Chicago Family Health.

Douglas Rahn, Beebe Healthcare Representative

Douglas Rahn, RN, Project Manager for Beebe Healthcare, coordinates the strategic planning of IT projects for the organization, oversees the Meaningful Use program and serves on several health exchange committees.

With 30 years of experience in health care, Doug serves as the CommonWell Project Manager for both inpatient and ambulatory practices at Beebe Healthcare, routinely works with the CommonWell development teams and is the hospital’s liaison to the Delaware Health Information Network (DHIN), the first operational statewide health information exchange.

Doug graduated from the Reading Hospital School of Nursing and obtained his Lean Six Sigma Certification in Healthcare from Villanova University.

Inna Yaskin, Elite Medical Center Representative

Inna Yaskin, DO, is a triple board certified physician in internal, geriatric and weight loss medicine and currently serves at the President and Medical Director of Elite Medical Center in Sunnyvale, Calif.

Inna has more than 18 years of experience in direct patient care as well as medical directorship of several palliative, long-term and multiple-skilled nursing facilities.  She previously worked at El Camino Hospital, where she served as medical director of Medicare bundle payment program.

Inna graduated from Cornell University and received her Doctor of Osteopathic medicine (DO) in Internal and Geriatric Medicine from Touro University California.
